1976 BMW 2002 for sale

For sale: 1976 BMW 2002, VIN 2374669, faded blue. I purchased this car in 1984 and it has been stored ever since. The mileage is 83237, it's a 4 speed, no AC, no sunroof. It's blue but the paint is obviously more than shot. It had been repainted, supposedly by BMW, the story being they had trouble with that color (or all?) for a few years. It has been stored inside for all but 5 (unkind) years. The sun and rain did in the paint, mice made a hole in the back seat, and the horsehair pads in the seats are all dried out. Please refer to the pictures for rust issues. There is a hole in the driver's floor right where the gas pedal mounts and the subframe rail near it is rusted. The spare tire well has some holes started. The rear shock towers are good. On a positive note, it runs strong, sports a Weber carb and headers. I just replaced front rotors/calipers/pads and rear shoes/cylinders/drums as well as a pedal box(with bushings,etc.), clutch slave cylinder and line and front drag link. It had recent(before storage) rear shocks and comes with new front strut cartridges. It also comes with a new gas pedal, clutch/brake pedal pads and new front fenders. You will see in the pictures that the center resonator that had a leak was replaced with just straight pipe. A glasspack is in the trunk if wanted. I do have a collection of spare parts that can be purchased with it. I will put together a list soon. I just retired into a condo so I need to let someone else love this orphan and finish a restoration. I believe $7500 is more than a fair price. Please feel free to call or email for details
