Price: $30000
Location: Hood River, OR

Description:

I'm curious to hear comments regarding the price.  Certainly we have seen base 02s going in this range on BAT.

That is a great price if you consider what would it take to recreate one to similar shape and to boot a one owner car? Thats almost non existence in the 2002 world with a very few exceptions.

Besides, like you said we have seen them go in that range and perhaps more on BAT

Good luck, change out those original front strut bearings if you get it.

My thoughts exactly, those are pretty crispy.

I'm working on buying this one! Hoping to close a deal tomorrow...fingers crossed.

i suppose in some minds you are a good reason for using craiglist and not BAT...you bought it faster and avoid any fees that may be associated with buying a car on BAT....and without having to see it nitpicked down to the gravel in the tire treads before you moved on it

good job...congratz...enjoy

Hi you faqqers, long time no see.  I'm the Inka pimp (not the owner, as noted in the CL ad).

The car was accepted for auction by BaT in August, but they were glacially slow in getting back to me with ad copy, and then could not provide a photographer, but would not accept the pictures I originally offered.  Then we got bombed with 3 weeks of smoke, making new pictures difficult.

I finally borrowed a DSLR and submitted new pictures 3 weeks ago.  Again, glacially slow response, so the owner asked me to list the car on CL to get it sold before winter arrived with the need to find long term storage.  BaT finally emailed me Monday, and by then I had 8 interested, serious buyers in contact.

The car may have brought more on BaT, maybe not.  TBH I'm not disappointed with skipping the parade of instant experts talking sh*t in the BaT comments.

Cheers,

Tony
