I’m guessing VIN 1562448 is approximately a January 1968 car.

Oh, I thought that was a 3 my bad!

 

Well...anyways the VIN 1562443 belongs to a BMW 1600 US that was manufactured on January 15th, 1968 and delivered on January 29th, 1968 to the BMW importer Hoffman Motors Corp. in New York City. The original colour was Pazific, paint code 039.

 

^That is still interesting though. I have not seen a 1600 in Pazific.

I have never seen that color or even seen the word Pazific

Couldn't find a decent 2002 example, this is supposedly Pacific on an E9 coupe.
