WTB 1974 tii Dash (some small cracks ok)

Recommended Posts

Hey, JWT,

All one-piece dashboards (1974-77) are “ready” for a clock: there is a “tii clock” hole in the metal armature underlying the dash. Although foam with the vinylized surface covers the hole, the hole is there, just waiting to be cut out!

So find the best dash you can. You can easily add a clock hole.

I put a tii clock in my brand-spanking-new ‘76 as soon as I got the car home. My father thought I was crazy to stick a knife in a new car’s dash — and I was crazy young. But it was easy — even with the dash installed. Below, my tii clock in my non-tii.

Best regards,

Steve

Shut your clock hole! You cut a perfectly good dash when it was new? How old are you?  ?

By 1976, even the oldest dashes — 1966 — hadn’t started cracking. So a perfect dash was just a dash! And I was young and reckless... ?

I guess that’s how I established a rep as a BAD BOY! ?

Best regards,

Steve
