What's your New Years resolution?..........re. '02s

I restored this car 15 years ago. It looks okay but drives like c..p!

Finally determined that I have compression problems in 2 cylinders. As a result, it stutters/staggers while cruising.  It is okay if full throttle.

My new year's resolution is to get this car humming.

I have bitten the bullet and am pulling the engine from the car to send out to an engine shop.

Wish me luck,

And Happy New Year to all the members of this site. It is the best site and the members are so helpful.

Love the way you're storing those extra wheels--very clever use of rafters.

My '02 resolution:  take care of Ludwig's rear brakes; the parking brake won't hold the car on level ground despite numerous adjustment attempts, so I suspect both shoes and drums need attention.  Drums are original (but the shoes aren't!).  Thanks to door prize wins at two consecutive Mid Americas several years ago, I have a nice new set of drums and shoes awaiting installation.  That's a strong incentive to attend Mid America 02Fest, folks.  Probably should check my rear wheel cylinders to see if they're the source of a slow brake fluid leak...better them than the clutch slave or M/C...that 5 speed slave cylinder is a PITA to replace.

Otherwise, just drive the cars and enjoy 'em.

Install a bunch of stuff I have for it.

3 piece Panasports need to be bored a smidge, at 56mm need to be 57.1.  So close but so far.

New Proxes R1R or Advan AO52  I think.

Install Recaro front seats I bought a year ago. Just have to weld up custom bracket,PO removed everything to install e36 seats.

Install refurbished gas tank.

Need 3 gauges for my Kooglewerks center console.

Need to purchase inertia switch for my electric fuel pump.

Want to do relay for headlights.

Get my 40 DCOE Webers dialed in,I'm at 90% I  think.

Drive it a ton. Looking forward to Mid-America, The Vintage and whatever else I can sneak in.

Do some lapping days at Gingerman Raceway cause its forty five minutes of backroads from my house.

My eternal resolution is to get my 74 painted back to Polaris.  I actually had an appt last Wednesday at a shop, but had to cancel because work got in the way.  I'm determined to paint her this year and have loads of new goodies for post paint.

Somewhat peculiar, I have these thoughts of taking off my E21 "upgrades" and putting the original steering wheel, seats and steel rims back on this year.  However, big bumpers will remain off.

Pay attention so you don't get under ground with that construction....
I wouldn't dare to work one single minute under that car

If / when you get rolling with the respray, interested where you end up going and the tab...

For me - it's install parts, drive, rinse and repeat.
