Tell me your stroking experiences

oh dear... that doesn't sound right..

 

seriously- searching the forum shows a lot of technical stuff. a lot of you have stroked motors. but there is relatively little information about the actual result. 

if you have a stroker could you please give the following information;

 

1. the difference is performance between stroker and 2L

2. any other mods you have which may cloud the effect the crank is having

3. which crank/bore you used etc. 

4. disadvantages

 

I'd really like to get a feel for what stroking would add to my build

I would suggest you look at metric mechanics different m10 engine choices to get a ballpark. You could also try calling them.

Given the beefcake nature of the M10 crank, offset grinding it and using a smaller journal

wouldn't be hard.

 

Nor would using an S14 crank.

 

Personally, I like turbos, but that's more about the blowing than the stroking.
