Is Our Car Universally Loved?

While I love the 02 and all, I certainly feel there is a fairly broad swath of car enthusiasts - the Boomers (no knock on Boomers) that grew up on GTOs, big-block Corvettes, and Road Runners - that probably don't have a lot of awareness of the 02, and certainly wouldn't respect it - not a V8, can't do an amazing burnout, etc. 

 

I live in Southern Ohio, and there are a lot of these people .  They would look at the 02 and categorize it as a "one of those funny little foreign cars from back in the day".  

 

So those uni-dimensional people would be the exception.  Any enthusiast with a broader mind probably would lump the 02 into the "all time greats", as many car mags have done over the years.
