I remember back in my VW days as a teenager a shop in Northern California called V-Mar racing was the place to go. One night I walked up to the shop to pick up parts and the owner was working late fabricating something amazing. He was listening to industrial music and I thought, wow that’s what inspires creativity. 

Tonight I was rebuilding my carburetor and put on Portishead on Apple Music essentials. Although it’s a different genre, I got that same vibe I got when I walked up to that shop 30 years ago.  I was in the zone.  Great music to wrench on a car for sure. 
 

A few cold ones always help too.
