Roundie Front Bumper Grommets Which Way?

Front bumper grommets to the apron panel, which way do they go in? Thanks, Cort

IIRC they're symmetrical, so they should work either way.  But it's been a long time since I installed one, so if they're not...remember that the nose panel is slanted and the bracket is parallel to the ground, so you should install 'em so the opening that the bracket passes through is as vertical as possible.

Smaller area on top, larger area at the bottom. At least that's the way it is on my Touring.

and the raised portion on the outside (may seem a dumb thing to not know, but I had to look it up a few weeks ago...)

this was a timely thread

 

 

installed fresh today. 

Cleaning the grommet's groove of loose, rubber-casting swarf helped with the fit - that plus Sil-Glyde.
