WTB: Roundie vinyl headrest

Martin Nobbs

Recommended Posts

Assuming, Martin, that the size of the metal supports you need is 10 mm. in diameter, these are the same basic headrests — I refer to them as the “tubular” style — used from 1969 until mid-1973.

Per the attached pages from the parts book (first two photos), RHD 2002’s used them up to VIN 1659274, which I’m guessing was manufactured in approximately January or February of 1973. The earliest examples of these tubular headrests, from 1969, through late 1971, might have a slightly different vinyl, but it is a difference that few would notice.

Regards,

Steve

Hey Martin,

I actually have 2 headrests.  One is in excellent condition the other has been restitched  and is a little ratty. The chrome on both is in excellent condition. I believe that they both came from the same car and are dark blue.

They have 10mm shafts and are 460mm on center.
