bonnet opening with hide gas shocks

Hello

 

I wanted to remove original bonnet cantilever. 

 

I made some prototype and now, i get this smart solution wich work very well.

Gas shock are almost hide

 

I didn't make any modification on my 02. it use the original fixation available in the front of the car.  That was a state for this solution to have a plug and play solution.

So, these are enough to open the hood, or just hold it open after manual lifting?

Yes. It s enough to open it and you might need to retain it to reduce speed.
