WTB 1974 tii exhaust manifold

the small bosses on the upper side, side facing the hood, are for the heat shield.  the large boss shown in the photos has been drilled and a fitting attached for a smog equip.  some had tubes inside the ports some didn't.  As Steve indicated true euro, tii manifolds large bosses are not drilled therefore no fittings or the bosses or not present.    I've used both tii and non tii manifolds and could not tell any performance difference for a street driven car.  The biggest performance difference i can discern is when i switch from tii cast iron manifold to steel tube header .  The steel tube header seems to have a negative effect on low end torque but seems to provide some benefit at top end.  while some say a cast iron header is quieter i havn't noticed much difference in noise level with either one.

Actually, the bosses are drilled to attach the heat shield.  The means of emission control on a tii was "Mechanical Fuel Injection"

You’re correct, of course, Sherman. I was imprecisely referring to the large bosses, not the heat shield bosses.

Here is a 1974 (and possibly late 1973) tii exhaust manifold. In contrast to the earlier, “un-webbed” style used on 1972-73 tii’s, additional webbing was added between the ports on these “late” tii manifolds. I’ve circled, in blue, a couple of the large un-drilled bosses found on U.S. tii’s, but not on the carbureted U.S. cars, where these bosses were drilled for emissions fittings.

Regards,

Steve
