Hi Guys,

I'm looking and would like to buy a 1972 Tii engine/engine block VIN# 2761811 

I'm hoping to reunite the car with its original engine.

 

I know it's a long shot, but it is worth a try.

I would recommend that you:

 

1. Create an entry in the Registry for VIN 2761811 (Browse, Registry), and 

 

2. Within the text portion of the entry, announce that you’re looking for engine number 2761811. (This present thread may disappear from view soon, but the Registry entry remains accessible in perpetuity, or at least for a long time!)

 

3. BMW Group Archives is closed until the end of the year for reorganization or relocation. When they re-open, an email to them will provide your car’s manufacturing date and confirmation of the original exterior color. Their email is info.grouparchiv@bmwgroup.com
