Looking for Quiet Fuel Pump

The Carter 8070 is loud, but it's dead nuts reliable.

We often use this Redline fuel pump at my shop when converting 12V 356s to an electric fuel pump, and I also have it in a couple of my own carbureted cars. Have never had a failure that I know of, not very loud, and also inexpensive.

"It's dead nuts reliable." True they can make underwear that has a little pouch to hold your guys, but they can't make a bike seat that won't massacre them.

the in- tank low pressure prepump is available.

 

I don't find it to meet the 'affordable' requirement, no, not one little bit!

On top of that, they were never all that reliable from day 6...

Leaping lizards. Suction device, indeed. I may take my chances with the Carter. I've got two Facets as backup

I like the in tank option, its a clean, easy install and quieter than external mount set ups.

 And there are cheaper options than OEM including a Carter set up for around half the BMW price.

Of course you also have to come up with an appropriate fuel quantity sender and they are pricey.But I still prefer it to a pump sitting  in your trunk or screwed to the underside somewhere.

And if down the road one was considering EFI, I'm pretty sure a high pressure "in tank" pump could be fitted.
