Horrible BMW 2002 buying experience...

Yup, looks like a FL car alright. Nice rusty pans.

So does this: https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/cto/d/renton-1975-bmw-2002-manual-florida-car/7401513513.html

Pic attached for reference. $27,200 for a rusty standard ‘75 2002. Pretty wild. I messaged the guy on OfferUp (it was also listed there for a minute) asking him why he chose that price. Maybe my rusty ‘76 is insured for too little! Heh

Lightness added.

Also, no one ever negotiates pricing upwards. Usually.

And definitely not in this case!

Right next to that car on Seattle CL is this one:

https://seattle.craigslist.org/oly/cto/d/seattle-1974-bmw-2002-barn-find/7401780682.html

A 'barn find"74 automatic that the delusional-ignorant-stupid seller is asking $68,000 for.

With dual holly carbs ?

Am I being to hard on him? Maybe he's just an optimist.

Yea but it has fresh coolant...so there's that.

I wonder if he put the price comma in the wrong location ?

It really is a "Buyer Beware" world out there, here's a good example.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/323783176889?_trkparms=amclksrc%3DITM%26aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20160908105057%26meid%3Dd02bd2330233422281ecc37dcb1c0e0e%26pid%3D100675%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D15%26sd%3D323783176889%26itm%3D323783176889%26pmt%3D0%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D2380057%26brand%3DHaul-Master&_trksid=p2380057.c100675.m4236&_trkparms=pageci%3Aa2eb8333-3c01-11ec-b092-1e9ba301f75e|parentrq%3Ae1ada78f17c0a7b1f032d41affff5590|iid%3A1

This item sells for $12.99 at Harbor Freight and goes on sale regularly there for $7.99.

This Ebay character is selling them for $39.99 plus $5 shipping.

Is he an unscrupulous ass? Probably. Do people need to do their due diligence and educate themselves so they dont get screwed? Absolutely.

That's just a typo- the seller added an 'l'-

it's dual holy carbs.   Pope Carburant the Fourth blessed them with St. Combustine's sacred fluids back in

1225 BFE*.

That adds a LOT of value for certain sects.  Plus, they never go out of tune...

Clicking a sellers "other items for sale" and "sold listings" can be revealing.
