well, fuck me- this one claims to be made by SKF and is priced

appropriately for a quality part.  It's listed for an E10, though,

so I wonder if it fits a 2002...

And Martisson, I wasn't meanin' to pick a fight, more that

there are some parts names out there

(Like the 3 letters 'OEM' as a manufacturer)

that don't seem to mean what it looks like they mean...

And finally, to actually pick a fight, what parts did Febi ever supply to BMW

for use on new cars?

They've been ubiquitous in the aftermarket chain for decades

(and some things have been good, some good rebranded, some adequate, and some variable)

but I can't think of anything I've ever taken off as an original part

that I could identify as being originally supplied by Febi.

Things like rockers only showed up in the BMW chain as replacement parts,

once BMW stopped casting them in the 90's and founded

'Mobile Tradition' as a way to whitewash 3rd party replacement parts into their systems.

Ok, I'm not really picking a fight, I guess.  Just askin'.

t

let's take it out back.

Or you could get it from Summit Racing for less money.

Looks like SKF has an ebay store and you can get that P/N direct from them for only $43.50 shipped:

I've never had a problem getting ahold of the folks at Ireland, but I am aware that others have.

I didn’t say it was difficult to get ahold of the folks at Ireland

Ireland sold me a “ rebuilt engine “

that was blowing smoke after 2400 miles

after disassemble, it’s clearly “not rebuilt “

im very disappointed in Jeff’s level of

honesty or craftsmanship.

and……no return call

Jeff sold Ireland Engineering to a new owner a while ago and things have not been the same since.

He personally sold the “rebuild engine “ to

me and

if I ever meet him in person, I’ll make sure he understands how I feel

It is stupid.  Has nothing to do with center bearings.  West palm should start a topic , "I hate Ireland"

Off topic, yeah not like threads have wandered off before. Also he is the OP of this thread.

Do we need another Ireland Eng. fcked up again thread.  They seem to be pretty good at that lately.

Heck I bitched just about a total clusterfck  order that they couldn't put together.

That said if they sold me a crap engine I would do a separate thread on it.

They make it hard to support their business .
