Hello group,

Thanks to some leads. I was able to find someone selling a getrag 245. Can anyone help me identify that indeed this is the correct one for a 4 to 5 speed conversion. I want to make sure I ask the right questions before privately purchasing. Yes, a Getrag 245 OD unit.  If it was the rare close ratio 245, the reverse light switch would be in back.  You just need to confirm it isn't the M60 version that was for the 6 cylinder.

The timing hole in the bellhousing, along with the extra height visible in the

picture, would convince me.

 

There is a 260 trans out there for the M30- it's a bit harder to fit in the tunnel,

but is a stouter transmission.  And has the M10 bell pattern.
