What alloy was used in original aluminum trim?

I guess it depends on how many old bits you need repairing, what they will look like against existing and what the cost for all that is. Damn trim isn’t getting any cheaper, still at least we have options I suppose.

That would be my guess as well. It’s  pretty much a cosmetic non structural part  So no need for a higher strength alloy and 1100 series commercially pure aluminum is the most corrosion resistant and easiest to cold work. 
But no way to know for sure unless it was  tested
