73 _&my alternator ignition wire fried so I'm not sure it matters

I don’t know if it matters for your purposes, but square taillight wiring (1974-76) has a quite a few changes from round taillight wiring — many of the changes are minor, but some, e.g., headlight relays, are not inconsequential. If I was restoring a 1972-73 tii, I’d probably want a round taillight harness and, if I was restoring a 1974 tii, I’d probably want a square taillight harness… ?

 

Unless, I really wanted my 1972-73 tii to have the 1974 upgrades… ?

Changes from ‘72 to ‘73 are quite minor, i.e., the heater blower switch moved from next to the instrument binnacle to the slide controls.

No the ignition wire to the alternator fried partially up into the loom__

Why not just get some replacement red wire and pull a new wire through to the alternator?

Sounds easy but there are other wires involved partially melted__ I can probably fix this with a little work but I would like a wiring harness nevertheless__ I have 2  73  Tii's and a coupe
