Euro bumper conversion question

For the continuing rear bumper conversion saga on my 74 tii, I'm going from this current look to a true Euro look.

License plate lights in the bumper, seam covers where the bumper guards are.  The finished product will look like this.

The center Euro bumper section uses clip-on fasteners (part # 51111826895) for oblong holes (center left in below pic) to attach the rubber bumper strip to the bumper.

The two end pieces I'm using (good condition US  spec bumper ends) have round screw holes to attach the bumper strip to the bumper.

For those who have done the conversion,  what fastener do you use to attach the bumper strip for round bumper holes? I looked in Real OEM for bumper strip fasteners for roundies and it shows the same part # (clip-on fasteners) for oblong holes instead of round holes.  I've already sourced all conversion parts from Walloth Nesch to include the clip on fasteners, seam covers, license plate lights, and rubber bumper strip.  Kudo's to Keith Kreeger's tutorial on Euro bumper conversion. Square tail light 02's look so much better after a Euro bumper conversion.  That's the look the factory intended,  U.S.  DOT screwed it up for U.S. buyers by mandated diving board bumpers.

Part # 51 11 1 815 611 (M6) is used for the last hole on each side/corner bumper, AND, if you have side bumpers with all holes and no slots, then use same part for all the holes.

Item 22 on below pic., alongwith washers & nuts items 3 & 4

I think this is what you need.

Those clips attach the rubber strip to the center section of the Euro bumper, I have those.  What I don't have is what attaches the rubber bumper strip to the bumper end pieces with round holes.  Those clips fit oblong holes, not round holes.   I think Les answered the question in his response.

02 Les has the right answer, and jibarnes has pictures of what you need.

Had to take my 73's rear bumper apart a couple of years ago to repair a bent center section, and that's exactly what came out--those stud plates that look like a belt line trim clip stud plate on steroids.  They're what go in the round holes on the bumper blades, generally at the ends, just like the stud plates on the belt line molding.

AFAIK they're still available--or at least they were a couple of years ago.

Bringing this one to life again for a simple question - I have a Euro bumper car (here in Oz) with all round holes (require flat plate with stud style clip) not with the oval openings for the spring style clip.

This is the same for both my front and back bumpers. For disclosure, mines a Euro late '72 round tail light but has had a late front clip put on it, probably due to impact I assume in the distant past

Was the change from round holes to oval a roundie-to-squaretail thing? I ask because the cost of replacement 15 stud-style clips for the rear strip are about $90+ :o

Best to get a small mirror and have a look at what is there currently, you can see them poking through easily enough.

Because I am a tightarse, when I refurbed my bumpers, I made new ones by welding an M6 stud to a slightly curved piece of metal of the same thickness and size. Worked perfectly 😁

Thanks Phil - no mirror required as the strip is off and I can salvage a lot of the existing ones - may throw them in with some stuff I am getting zinc plated. That's not being a tightarse mate BTW - those clips are very expensive IMHO for that they are. I have a welder so I might also just do what you suggest for a bit of fun and practice with the welder (which I am beginner on).

If a round tail light should have the oval slots, still trying to ascertain if the previous owner - she owned from new for 32 years prior to me - changed the front bumper (to something later) when she did the nose clip. That I can understand but not sure why the rear bumper is also a round hole version as well in that scenario?
