article ...... a Baur 2002

Recommended Posts

I think their cool, they are rare but the market doesn't really honor that for some reason. Across the models, the Bauer's are always second to the factory convertibles where available. The factory convertibles are prettier, but beauty is only skin deep ... or is it?

The Baur is by far my favorite car/2002, I like it much better than a convertible because you have the ability to keep the top on and take the sun off of you but still have the open back for the airflow… It will be very interesting to see what Rudy’s car sells for, it’s a very clean and well taken care of car and a very desirable color.

I thought Baur built the full cabrio bodies for BMW as well as the Targas.

@BarneyT to me, your car's color is desirable. The Green is perhaps rare, perhaps collectible, but definitely you must want to have that color...an acquired taste. My family would prefer Malaga... Great wheels (plug for cosmic's).

I wouldn't pay a premium for that color all things being equal does the market?

Yes, they built all but bmw requested the full cabriolet while Bauer designed the Bauer on their own initiative, sort of throwing it over the fence to BMW as a finished product....in German the full cabrio is often referred to as the "werks" cabrio, so I should have been more precise "Works" cabrio vs "Bauer" cabrio.
