Will E30 Style 5 Wheels Work

Those wheels should fit, I think +25 offset is ideal for the '02s, so the ones you are looking at (ET+30) shouldn't be a problem. They are 6.5 inches wide too, so some room on the sides.

I have the E30 325IX wheels, which are 15x7 ET+41 offset, so I have a 20mm spacer to fill the side gap a little. Pics below, they're lowered on BavAuto springs and Koni shocks.

.All non-M3 e30's were 4 lug. The iX also had 4 lug, but with the wrong offset for a 2002.

this.

E30 basketweaves fit.  They are kissing- close to the front struts, which means that some tires

rub- but also that a little spacer'll do you up nicely.

The ix E30 also were 4x100, my statement is correct.

i've been corrected.  First mistake I made all week :(

A radiator shop is a good place to take a leak.

I have no idea what I'm doing but I know I'm really good at it.

To be fair, you weren’t the only one here doubting my extensive E30 wheel knowledge.

Im on my second or third mistake this week, you got some catching up to do !

I ran E30 style 5 basketweaves for years with no rubbing issues (195/60-14 tires) on my former tii before I moved up to 15X7 wheels.  One issue you need to be  aware of, the OEM center caps for the style 5 wheels are nearly $100 each.  If you lose one, it can be pricey.  I suggest you spend some time in this thread to learn from those who have been there and done.

They are great wheels, OEM, very well made and look great, until you have to clean them and depending how clean you like them it could well drive you nuts😜

They are not fun to clean, that said a good power hose and wheel cleaner helps!

There is a mob called kleen wheelz, he makes dust shields that keep at least 90% of the brake dust off the wheel, unfortunately I got his very last 14” set, that said he did have 15”. They work, you can’t see them, they don’t make your brakes over heat even with “spirited” driving, in fact they work so well I’d consider baskervweaves again if I didn’t love my Octavos so much🙄

I agree cleaning them is a nightmare, but Sonax wheel cleaner and a nice brush help make things a little easier!

Not bad for 40 year old wheels!

And there are many examples of E30 alloy `14" bottlecaps (not iX wheels) being used on 02's with good results, offset wise.

That’s what I’m doing. I got them as a long term temporary solution. Wanted 14” tires minimum for better selection. Running 195/50/14 Falken Azenis tires. This is as it sits with stock height suspension. That will change soon.

and yes, I painted them a darker color to hide imperfections lol. Copper inspired by M4 GTS wheels.

It will be a major score if you can find some open lug basketweaves,  then you don't have to deal with the big center caps.  These MSW 15X7 ET26 basketweaves are on my tii.  4X100 open lug weaves were made by numerous wheel manufacturers in a variety of sizes.

Caps are not metal,  they are plastic, expensive plastic as well.
