In the Air Force, what's being described is known as "cascading failures" and unfortunately is normally used in analyzing the reason for an aircraft crash.  So be thankful you're working on a car, not your airplane...

Hey, I discovered that they make RF protection sleeves for your wallet.

 

What I need is one that protects my wallet from myself.  Like the gloves, but 

when the wallet comes out to buy an oil change, mysteriously all sorts of other

non- essential automotive things show up with that order.

And saxophones.  Somehow, inexplicably, saxophones.

Us sailors call them event cascades but the meaning is identical.
