Yep, for a US car meant to have sealed beam headlights (or the Euro headlight assemblies meant to replace sealed beams.0  While the bucket will fit both roundies and squarelights, the headlight beam retainer rim is specific to US spec cars built prior to mid-1972, when the side grilles were slightly changed from the "deep" headlight surrounds to the "shallow" ones--those were used on late 72 and all 73 US spec roundies.

It's difficult to tell from the picture whether it's a left or right housing as the difference is pretty subtle.  However, that yellow lens means that either the car was used in France, or someone wanted yellow headlights here in the states--not legal in all states though.

The front of the light has a different retainer ring than the ones used on 1600s & 2002s.

They were introduced to the maket before H4 became available.
I am runnig them on my car with clear glass 3 bulbs parking light and 2x H1.
You can run Low beam and High beam at the same time which you can't with a H4.
And I confirm the outer ring looks a bit wide

Below, foreground, is the ‘02 headlight filler piece, used on all Euro-spec round taillight headlights and — as Mike pointed out above — on U.S.-spec round taillight headlights until mid-1972 model year (I believe the changeover is in January or February 1972).

The asymmetric filler ring, foreground, fits into the retainer ring, background.

Regards,

Steve
