Rear Parcel Shelf

The three parcel shelf holes are indicated on @NYNick photo (had to point them out amongst the other holes 😬).

My pic is the center clip from the trunk side. Just pinch and push upwards to release the shelf.

True, but you need to carefully compress the little plastic legs to clear the hole in the metal or they'll break.

Correct, crawl through the Jefferies Tube and use a tricorder to first determine the molecular degradation due to thermal expansion and contraction cycles. If need be apply some Dilithium lube.

id batten down whatever you use as shelf. things “stay” fine until they're launched in an accident. plastic clips probably ok for the nearly massless oem shelf. if you beef up the shelf, to a thick plywood for example, id screw it down into the two threaded mounts welded to the shelf sheet metal near the c pillars.
