1972 BMW 2002 steering wheel recovering

Hi All,

I'd like to get the steering wheel of my 1972 recovered.  Does anyone have any recommendations?  The first quote I got locally in Madison WI seemed really expensive.

There really are no good options for having a Momo steering wheel recovered in a cost effective manner. The Momo stitch is actually very difficult and most people won't touch it and honestly I have only seen a handful that had even decent results and the prices can range from $500-$2,000 which is absurd when you can buy that wheel new still for $400. You can of course get it done for less, but just depends on the quality of job you want. Just my .02 cents.

All depends on your sentimental reasons and actual age of your steering wheel but these version steering wheels can be had as John P says are available plus you already have the hub that`s a plus!

I always liked that wheel because it's 380mm.

I had my Momo Alpina wheel rewrapped three years ago. Currently my E21 sport vinyl wrapped wheel is in my tii. It was my $10 pik-a-part find a couple of decades ago.  It feels good to grip. The Alpina wheel gets swapped in frequently.
