When the car was in Canada and WA it had the famous 'snorkle'. Later, in CA, it had (at least) a repaint and the 'snorkle' disappeared.

Lots of new/refreshed big and small parts too, after that repaint, Les.

 

Polished/painted aluminum on the valve cover & intake, plus new exhaust. New/repainted rad & rad cap. New battery, voltage regulator, strut caps & relays. Very focused on the aesthetics..

If I wound up with a radiator support snorkel on a tii, at the top of my to-do list would be:

 

 — Remove snorkel.

 

After that comes:

 

 — Repaint car

 

 

Snorkels on tii’s only cause grief and arguments. 😄😡

 

They should be eliminated ASAP. My ‘73 has had its nosepiece replaced decades ago — like almost every other ‘02 I’ve ever owned — but, it got a used nosepiece from a white tii, based on the paint evidence. 🙌

 

The Fjord ‘74 also acquired a VIN tag it did not have in an earlier manifestation.
