I like using this stuff for temporary flaps-

you can give yourself the SubaruRallyLook in the winter, and then take it off when the 

weather gets nicer.  It forms with heat, too, so with some patience, you can make

3 dimensional parts that have a lot more rigidity.

I used a big rig mudflap found on the side of the road cut to size and used the factory mudflap hardware.the material is flexible but not floppy. Just right!  Also, the factory mudflaps looked silly behind 205 et13 wheels and tires.
