IMG_5494.thumb.jpeg.32cf9cb00445f0d34d61f35e4449ccbe.jpegI'm wondering if someone might have one lying around they don't need. Part # 34414660109 or #9 in the diagram above.

Thanks!

This is the normal/usual handbrake cover - part # 34 41 4 660 109. However, it has been superceeded by part # 34 41 1 116 435 which is the later style in kiva's picture. Blunt has it for $5.61.

I think it changed sometime in 1975 and the later style was used on the E21 cars.

I put one on my Touring.

I was wishfully thinking that someone might have an example of the old style handle cover lying around that they don't need. Similarly, I was able to acquire a few years ago the old-style Ebrake boot... both these are stock for my car.

But if not, I guess the best option is to see if Blunt can send me the newer version.

Thanks for the responses.

I just took a chance and ordered a handle from Blunt for $5.61. And postage  to Canada was inexpensive. Unfortunately there was no pic on the web site. But the internet is a bit confused as to the part number. Rogerstii shows a pic of the old version with the newer part number. So do some other of the usual suspects online.

If I get the new version of the handle cover I'll use it until I find the older style. Stay tuned.
