Yes, it's aftermarket.

The installation instructions are missing.

But I once had a template for the installation, you might find it online

FYI - the wiring diagram for a Touring includes item 80 - 'terminal for rear window wiper'

I don't know if BMW ever sold a rear wiper as an accessory, but they provided a terminal. I guess it would run when the front wiper was running.

done. i have been looking for this kit for several years. i will integrate it as a rear washer/wiper for my 2002 i am restoring. back in 1980 i did this with another 02 and it worked great. since you seem to be able to find things please keep on the lookout for headlight wiper set for an 02. if not a complete kit i will take what ever parts you find. hanks
