Ok, I'm gonna expand on this a bit. What I'd really like is an 80A or 90A alternator from an e30. Doing so would require me to also purchase the mounting bracket and toothed adjustment arm (link:

Absolutely, what's the cost? Are any mods needed to make it work with the stock wiring?

Connectors and wiring is a little different so some modification required. They're hard to source right now. I see one reman in stock in NY, $134.90 plus $40 core
