Front Sway Bar Question

Recommended Posts

When I restored my car back in 1986 I installed what I believe was a factory Turbo front sway bar. I'm about to order new urethane bushings and was asked to provide the size of my front bar. When I measure it with my verniers, I get 20.57 mm which seems like an oddball size. Anyone know what the 2002 Turbo bar originally measured? I'm still toying with the idea of replacing it with a 22 mm bar. My rear bar is a Dinan adjustable. I haven't crawled under to measure it.

Now why didn't I think of that, thanks. 20 mm makes sense. Maybe I'll try a 22 mm and see how that feels.

I bought the full Dinan suspension package for my car a long time ago and it has a 22mm bar up front.  I believe those Dinan packages were made for Dinan by Suspension Techniques.

Does anyone know if the ST Suspensions 22 mmm (7/8") front sway bar is configured the same as the OEM bars? Particularly where the ends connect to the lower control arm.

Yes, should bolt on without any modifications.
