Probably the ex Classic BMW dealer. Last time I was there (5 years ago) before they changed their name they had several 02s. Was super cool.

Yeah, they've had that one for years.  Funny, though, that most of the parts counter guys there are utterly unfamiliar with '02s and not at all helpful (maybe a bit spiteful) when you ask them for an '02 part.  I'm sure there are some enthusiasts there, but they never seem to be working when I've needed them.

I live in plano and ordered parts there almost weekly this summer while I had time to work on stuff. They can get me stuff within one day usually. Nice guys and it helps to have a part number for them.

It's good to hear they've improved.

They used to be Classic BMW and it was under the Classic regime that I gave up on them.  Although Classic was great in supporting the enthusiast community (showing someone cared), I'd had many bad experiences there - in the showroom (I wasn't buying an '02), in the service department (having other than '02 serviced) and at the parts counter (buying for '02 and other BMWs).  They've changed hands, however, and are now a Sewell dealership.  Sewell tries to be known for their customer service, and my experience with other Sewell dealerships, in both sales and service, has been better than my experiences at Classic.  Presumably, Sewell's customer service focus has improved things.

I don't buy local much anymore, because we've got some great vendors on here that I prefer to support, albeit via mail order.
