Relay’s

I have a relay in the 4th position closest to windshield 

has three wires:

red to battery

brown to ground

brownish going into firewall. 
 

any idea what the relay is for :

Also, I know:

1st one headlights

2nd horn 

3rd ?? 

4th??

The 3rd one is headlight hi beam or low beam depending on which way you look at it the 4th one is added for some other use, Driving/fog light?

Thx!  My car has an electric fuel pump. Maybe the 4th is for the pump ??

Could be  it's not factory try unplugging it and see what stops working.

I'm trying to understand what the rubber grommet is used for?  I assume it gets rolled down to protect from the metal lugs from hitting the body of the car?

That is exact reason because there is no evidence of relay socket. Wires are direct  connect to rely tabs.

 That’s right. I can’t figure out what it controls. Not fuel pump. Traced fuel pump wire and it goes to coil.   I unplugged it and nothing stops working that I can see. Odd.

That unidentified relay is not going to do anything without a 4th wire.

The Red wire should be connected to the #30 tab on the relay.

The "load" ie fuel pump, driving/fog lights etc. is connected to the #87 tab.

The Brown ground wire is normally connected to the #85 tab.

That leaves one tab (#86) that is the 12v trigger source.

Looks like your relay is a Bosch 12V 30A 332 019 151.  I use 4 of these in my car.
