Sad sight- rusty 3.0 and Bavaria sighting

Recommended Posts

Not sure where the appropriate place for this post is, so I put it here. Moderator, please move it appropriate.

found these two “survivors” today. The Bavaria has the running gear still intact. The 3.0 is missing the engine, but the gear box is still in it. Thought some of you folks would enjoy seeing these.

Did you spot those cars in Ft Lauderdale (I noticed the Broward county license plate, then the beach club stickers)

That Bavaria has been all over--South Carolina, Colorado and now Florida (?).

Nostalgia for my hometown...When I was in high school, I lived about three blocks from the Lago Mar Hotel...and earlier was friends with the son of the hotel's general manager.  We had lots of fun playing all around the hotel, running our model boats in the swimming pool and walking up the beach to the Port Everglades inlet, where we jumped from rock to rock on the breakwater all the way out to the end.

Mike,

the cars are in Charleston, SC. I’ve known they were there for a while, but this is the first time I’ve bothered to check them out/ take photos. I can get in contact with the owner through a friend. And I’ve halfway thought of sling what he wants for them, but as the photos show they’re mostly parts cars at this point. Not sure what I’d do with them if I bought ‘em.
