Help Installing IE Distributor

This is wrong. Your distributor is not getting full voltage since it is being fed through the resistor wire.

The black/red wire on the coil + bypasses the resistor wire and provides a full 12v only during cranking. When the key is returned to the "run" position, the coil is fed about 9v through the resistor wire AND your IE distributor.

Run a new red wire to the coil +. I snaked mine through the blue sheath. The connection on the fuse box can be to #3, #4 or #12 fuses (they are all linked to the ignition switch). #3 fuse has a vacant male tab on the back, so that is where I connected the red wire in my sketch.

BTW: You can keep all your stock wiring intact. The current will flow through the path of least resistance...e.g. the new red wire.
