Google has occupied my FAQ page

Started just today, open the FAQ on any device and this annoying crap pops up. Click on the X to close and jump to say, classifieds and zing! There it is again.

Anybody else experiencing similar?

Yes, my dues are paid, no, not experiencing it on any other site. Freakin annoying.

That's why ads are injected....

 

The carburettor ads are rich when you first logon and go lean when you are reading.

 

The turbo ads nothing happens for first 3 minutes and then whole screen is plastered with unstoppable ads...

Same thing - horrible ads. Video is the worst. If this is the new standard it will be disappointing.

 

It could very well be misconfiguration. I'm sure Steve will clarify.

I wondered what that new unasked-for pop-up window was.  Mine is showing some “This Day in History” nonsense.  It appears whenever you load a page on the FAQ and stays put even while scrolling until you click the “X” icon to delete the window.  Until you load another page, then it starts all over.

I'm not expecting immediate response. At some point I'd like to know the parameters around this new element to the site. Probably here so everyone can see it. 👍
