How do I install horn contact from ECS Tuning?

Hey!

My dad and I are fixing up the '75 2002 I bought a few weeks ago. We took off the steering wheel and noticed that the horn is disconnected. The horn does sound, however, when I touch the exposed wiring to a ground.

We're looking at buying components to fix up the button for the horn in the steering wheel.

We found this horn contact from ECS Tuning:

Horn contact

Does anyone here have experience installing this in their car? Any tips, advice, or pictures you can share from the installation?

Thanks!

Thanks, all. The car was at the alignment shop today. Just got it back. Here are some pictures of the steering wheel setup in my car. I think it's maybe from a 325i? The wheel is about 15" in diameter. I guess the exposed wire in there is supposed to connect to the plunger switch which would be in contact with the copper ring.

Ah, yeah, so for whatever reason, BMW decided to do the opposite setup in the e21. In 2002s, the contact ring is mounted to the steering column surround and the contact plunger thingy is in the steering wheel. In later cars, where your steering wheel came from, the contact ring is on the wheel and the plunger is on the column. Check out what @John76 (one of the electrical wizards here) did to adapt an e21 wheel to work with the 2002 contact ring.
