Look again. That 'landau' top on the 2002 is a carbon fiber roof...

And it sounds glorious!

I can confirm, that is a legit carbon fiber roof and the owner of the car is a cool dude.

There's a few guys around here with that roof on their '02s.

Looks like it needs rear springs.

Adjustable rear Pirches, the bottom of the car is actually level

What you end up finding is that a little bit of rake does help a lot, when you start Perching your Pirches for

a bit 'o the old Suspension Sweeps Week....

...and boy howdy, can you get yourself swept up in the ride height versus alignment kerfuffle...

It looks like a nice conversion and I'm sure it's lovely to drive. I don't hade a problem with it. Similar weight to an original motor I presume. Not a fan of heavier motors that throw off the balance though. While my car's a Frankenstein, I'm not about to do an engine swap anytime soon. I'll stick with my old-school lump for now.

Totally.  It's your car.  They made hundreds of thousands of the things, so you can make yours however you like it.

It's been a project, that's for sure. This was the start of the restoration of my '75 in 1985. Canadian winters were not kind to these cars. She's much happier now.
