Is this a challenge?

Some padding to protect the plug wires. Nyloc nuts on strut tops with painted caps. Aftermarket radiator cap. ...?

The box is an early Bosch unit, predates the 320 by a few years! Never seen another one.

Not the cleanest by a long shot but I managed to kick most of the spiders out and replaced the valve cover. Messing around with the catch can too. Surprised in 10+ years it only collected a few ounces of oil/ water/sludge.  Now I’ve moved underneath to freshen up the shift linkage. Oh joy! Forgot how much fun it is down there! 😂

They were common @mercedes and also avaliable as an aftermarket item.
It's just a transistorized TSZ-K ignition no CDI
