Description:

Hello,

I'm listing my 2002 due to some unfortunate life circumstances, and wanted to post it here first. It's not in the greatest condition, most of the interior for the ceiling and floor is gone due to water damage. There is some rust on the front lower lip, spare tire area, and a small hole beneath the rear of the driver seat. It does run, drive, and shift great, but I've had a tough time dialing in the carburetor. It has the Weber 38 /38, and it takes a little bit to start occasionally.

Here are some things I did to it over the last few years, and some other information.

- swapped in another 4 speed to fix a grinding 3rd gear

- rebuilt heater core and fan, works great now

- replaced rear differential with one rebuilt by Andrew here on the forum

- replaced bushings and grommets on the front and rear subframe, new shocks

- replaced front and rear wheel bearings

- added fog lights

- replaced front and rear window seals/black center strip

- three different sets of wheels, 14 inch e30 basketweave (kumho tires), e21 turbine wheels (very old tires) and original 70s 13 inch bmw alloys (pirellis)

- kooglewerks fog light mount, center console, gas tank filler and under dash speaker pods

- have an extra barely used weber 32/36

- have original steering wheel, I would really prefer to keep the wooden steering wheel for when I get another 2002 one day...

- new reproduction gas tank

- koito headlights

- e21 Recaro seats, the driver seat is installed but is somewhat worn. The original tobacco brown driver seat is still with me, in storage, badly ripped.

- new bmw oem radiator

- all new coolant hoses from IE

- new clutch and flywheel

- new rear main seal, oil pan redone with sealant

- new front and rear brakes, rebuilt calipers in the front (still have originals) and new drums and shoes in rear

- replaced the IE exhaust manifold with original iron one, still have the IE one

- rebuilt the shifter platform/part, helped to make the shifter feel not as loose

The pictures tell most of the story, let me know if you have any questions. All of the work I did myself, following guides on here, and on YouTube. It is in rougher condition, but the engine was supposedly rebuilt before I bought it. I have receipts to back that up, and it appears to run great and has plenty of power. I don't want to get rid of it, but I will have to anyways, so I wanted to post it here first. I hope I will be back one day soon. Honestly I'm not sure what the going rate is these days, even after reading the price guide for 2023. I priced it at what I felt was fair, especially for everything listed, but I could be way off. Thank you.
