Hello,

I run sutrowerks on Instagram. I’m making this as our build tread for the 1967 BMW 1800 I’m currently working on.

For rear brakes, I’m using 1980 BMW 320i drums and parking brake cables. 
 

The parking brake cables were slightly too short to reach the standard NK handle. This is how I went around it. Hopefully this info is good for someone who needs to do this and can’t find NK specific parts. 
 

cut a small plate, drilled two holes, bolted it down and adjusted from there. Works just fine.

M42 all ready to drop in. 👍🏽

Engine bay almost ready for the m42, will not be using a heater box on this car, block off plate cut and temporarily mounted. Subframe will need to be swapped out for an 02 subframe.

2002 subframe cleaned up and coated. M42 will be mounted using classic daily mounting brackets.

Busy weekend, pulled the NK subframe off and installed a reinforced 2002 subframe. M42 is in place now using classic daily swap mounts. The Getrag 240, did not fit. Trans tunnel was cut out of the way as the trans is much taller than the tunnel is.
