The url that you are included for the image is a link to a page that has an imgage. It will not show the image this way on the board because it's actually expecting an image itself. I think i just confused myself. but here is the URL to the yahoo image page

TOPIC: Rear Emblem Placement

I saw this pic as part of the TX 020202 fest, and the rear of my car looks the same way. I was wondering about the placement of the roundel on the rear of the car above "2002tii"...like the car in the pic, my roundel is above the "02" instead of the "20". i have noticed that most 2002tii's have the roundel above the "20". is there any reason that it would be in the other location (like mine and this car). it does not appear that the rear section of my car has been replaced or redone. (i am researching it though). Or did some cars just come this way....

thanks

eric

Just checked the garage-never paid attention to it before. The '72 bmw emblem is over the 02, the '73 bmw emblem is over the 20. You've a good eye for details.

Wonder if it's the same reason as to the seemingly random placement of the windshield washer bottle mount. I've seen 'em so far forward it nearly touches the radiator support, and so far aft it's up against the coil. Just Hans, on the assembly line with his spot welder...

Perhaps the rear panel emblem placement is the same thing... two different shifts--Franz punches the holes in one place, Hans the other.

Cheers
