The sixth annual BAY AREA 02 SWAP & SHOW is just a month away!

This event takes place on Saturday, May 20, 2006 at El Camino Park in

Palo Alto, CA across from the Stanford Shopping Center from 10 am to 3

pm. The event is free to the public.

the Swap & Show is fun and informal. Owners buy, sell and swap treasured

vintage parts -- even whole cars. Vendors hawk accessories, services

and performance products. Gearheads flock to tech sessions throughout

the day. Everybody ogles, most people choose a favorite car, but

there is no competitive judging or awards.

We invite owners of the BMW 2002 and all variations in the 2002

series. We also invite owners of BMW models built from 1965 through

1976 including Neue Klasse, E9 (CS), and E3 (Bavaria, 3.0S etc.) to

show their cars.

As in past years, sponsors are donating a metric boatload of

desirable 2002 parts and other goodies for the raffle. We will be

announcing those prizes over the next few weeks.

Show your car or swap your extra parts for a nominal fee. Save by

registering online now at . Online

registration closes on April 28th, 2006. You may also register in

person on the morning of the show.

Sombody needs to bring a ladder this time so we can get a true "group shot".

Or howzabout we just make a human pyramid?

(Visions of the evening news, several ambulances are buzzing about, EMTs are tending to several show-goers holding ankles and knees and writhing in agony. News reporter talking about the human tragedy, camera view is shakey as they try to take in as much as possible and keep out of the way of the injured. Possible amatuer video showing the elation of sucess, and then the instace of the collapse and the ensueing carnage.)

OK, maybe NOT a human pyramid.

I took a series of pics standing on the tables they used for registration. At the time I wasn't thinking about pasting them together, so I wasn't using the panorama feature on the camera. You might see some people twice in the photo, everyone was moving around while I was taking pictures. Here I was standing up on a table yelling "Don't move, say Cheese now" and no one was listening. I was crushed..

Sorta messy paste together, but it does pretty much encompass the whole group.

Maybe if we just stack all your spare tires on top of your car, and stand on top of them it might work. Of course we will have to paste your car back in the picture when we are done.
