Exhaust✔️ One more thing off the list! Small resonator/muffler then a simple turn down, nice clamp at the collector and oxygen sensor bung welded in for the AEM air/fuel ratio gauge so I can keep an eye on my carb jetting. Can’t wait to hear what it sounds like.

“Final” dash setup, added were the fire suppression activation handle (in a place the corner worker can pull if if I’m out) and a AEM air/fuel gauge to help me tune the carbs and keep things stoich!

Because the last time the car raced was 2007..... the belts expired. So to be safe, pass tech and not cut corners even for my first test day... new 6point Schroth harness and new window net..... fresh belts ! Getting closer to actually using them!

It nice to have friends in high places... closest I’ve ever been to having a tire sponsor ? Went to ToyoHQ to pick up some ProxesRR’s in our class spec size. 205/60/13. Never driven this tire before, used to race on the great Toyo RA1’s shaved and there were super consistent and predictable and tended to perform great right up until the cords showed up! They were never the fastest runner but they offered the best price/value. I believe they were treadware 100 these are 40! So no doubt these will be much grippier I’m just curious how they handle at the limit and how much traction falls off with use..... seams like most of the cars in my class running these tires so I’m sure it’s a no brainer really. Nothing beats fresh rubber!! I’m super excited to throw these on and and turn some laps!!

Just when you think your at the finish line.... we didn’t come this far to cut corners. Sketchy ass motor build showed its colors early. Probably a good thing. Now Matt @roninautowerks will expertly put the bottom end back together that should hopefully hold together for seasons ahead.... unfortunately @vara_racing Octoberfest race weekend is in 5 days so good chance I won’t make it... regardless the important thing is to not rush thru as the goal is a reliable fun engine burning pump gas and giving lots of reliable seat time....I’m confident that now that’s what I’ll end up with.

Fire system is back in.... 2 nozzles in the engine bay... 1 towards driver under the dash and one in the truck over the fuel cell.
