I havn't been here in literally years.... unfortunately some of the pics in my thread are gone referencing my old website for the car. I have to spend some time and re-do that site and get it back up.

Found my exhaust leak....good thing I pulled my headers to investigate. Looks like a crack right where they are welded and ground down a bit. These IE stepped “race” headers also are not welded on the front side all the way around.... I think I’m going to weld them up more.... can’t hurt! Time to clean them up and weld them..

Luckily I decided to sand blast my headers before I sprayed them.... looks like 2 more cylinders also cracked! Going to weld the backside more and hopefully last me awhile until I can afford to find some higher quality race headers

Going for “AC Schnitzer” gold on this one..... just trying to get things done so I can make my race in 2 weeks. Luckily I decided to sand blast my headers before I sprayed them.... looks like 2 more cylinders also cracked! Going to weld the backside more and hopefully last me awhile until I can afford to find some higher quality race headers.

Decided to “upgrade” my brakes to the only setup that is allowed under the BSL rules...dual line 4-Piston Volvo calipers... modified to fit TII struts from @iemotorsports

“AC Schnitzer gold” #nailedit !! Looks damn good actually... too bad it’s probably going to burn off and look like crap soon. Still when I do find some quality headers I’m thinking Cerakote bronze will look great.

New “race prep’d” carb courtesy of Steve @topendsteve .... should of done this long time ago... 

 

New calipers on... they look nice now... let’s see how the paint does after 1 track session ? now the hard part... converting over to dual lines, switching the mastercylinder etc...

Well it’s official, I’m signed up. Next weekend @vara_racing is where it’s at!! 5 entries for now but likely a few more will show up on the day, BS on the other hand already has 10 entries. So our racegroup is already filling up. Going be a fun weekend!

 

Here we go! Last day prepping the car, going rent a trailer (my new trailer is not ready yet) do some work in the office and try get some sleep tonight. Feel like a kid the night before Christmas!! ? hope to see some of you there!!

Been coming here since I was 16.... I love this place... last few days have been so great. So great to return to my home track, so great to drive the car I’ve built slowly over almost 20years! So great to RACE it door to door with such a great group of guys here at @vara_racing More pictures and vídeos to come. Just the car and it’s gremlins has kept me non-stop busy! So busy I have bearly had time to take pictures etc.... oh yeah, it’s not over yet tomorrow is Sunday...., and Sunday is race day!
