If the sticker is no longer on the driver door, you can contact Mobile Tradition in Germany...and for free they will give you date of manufacture and ship date. I don't have their e-mail handy...anyone else???

LOOK AT THE ENGINE BLOCK

under the exhaust manifold for a casting month/year code,

and look at the back of the instrument cluster

for production dates on the speedo -

both dates will be close to the cars assembly - if they

are originial to the car.

others might get you closer, but the FAQ VIN link gives us this "Series Mod 71 Year 1973 built From Jan-73 to Aug-73 Vin # 2-587-308 thru 2-593-704, 6397 Built" so I suspect that it is close to Jul or Aug 73. You are in the last 507 built of that group

Those VIN's sound like they are pretty much the last of the "roundies"

...just one sticker there, but not punched with a month and yr. like the sticker on my '75. CD, I will check the eng. block, as the eng. is the one that came with the car. I believe the car I have is one of the last 200 round tail light cars.
