Photos from Palo Alto Show and Duel at De Anza

Here are a few shots that took at both events. The show on Saturday was once again a great success. But once again i had no time to look at the cars. Talking to all the people i already knew and meeting new people who already knew me just takes too much time. Pictures of the show

Sunday was my first visit to this annual event called Duel At De Anza. A short course on a small lot that actually attracts spectators to an autocross. It was strange seeing people bring their lawn chairs and set up in the lawn to watch an autocross. The weather didn't hold through the entire event and Norm and I were driving in pouring rain while people ran in the dry in the morning. I'll have the in car video posted a little later and i think Norm has other videos from the event. Pictures from De Anza College

Since the event at De Anza is usually8 the same weekend ad the Palo Alto show Norm has suggested on getting a few of our beloved BMWs to come to the autocross and make it a 2 day event. Just like the Palo Alto show it will require preregistration.

Pinepig, I am not sure, but I bought those Ronals in the background off him. I think you'll need the same lugs for the mini wheels as I will for those Ronals. He was telling me something about needing them and I was more interested in getting them into my car. Sorry.

Thanks Steve. Nothing specific. I'm just really interested in importing an Escort, so I kind of have Escort fever at the moment. If you could be so kind as to take a few general shots (maybe an engine shot, interior, maybe an under car shot, etc), I would be extremely grateful.

Thanks,

Robert

You certainly can't do this on a puny "roundie" or Euro bumper. Eat your heart out "roundies". While we enjoy our nice picnic benches.

Thanks Vroomer,

He's probably not a member here but it's nice to know they will work. IIRC they are a very light wheel for a factory alloy about 14#s or so. If the BBS RS's ( oh so pretty ) I have an offer on don't pan out I think I might try a set of those. They actually look OK on the deuce ( as oposed to some other stuff that I see at times ).

BTW thanks to all for taking pictures, wish I could have made it but I still have a few megasquirt bugs to work out.

Vroomer- let me know when you want the lugs. I have a few "proper" ones for the Ronals.

Does anyone have any details on the electric 02 pictured here?

I started a thread a couple of months ago asking if anyone had done this conversion, and someone mentioned an electric in Cal. This must be it. I know you took a shot of the 'info-box' on the windscreen but it is a little hard to read.

TIA
