brakes early 1602 brake caliper kit

Prior to chassis # 1567864, BMW must have used a different caliper with a larger bore. Does anyone know the ATE number or source of a kit for the earlier models. BMW# 34 11 1 103 289 will not work;it is too small.

The number you gave (34 11 1 103 289) is for the late four (34mm) piston caliper seal kit, same as on a regular 2002.

I think you would have the two (48mm) piston caliper, that uses a different kit:

BMW 34 11 1 103 269 (list $24.25)ATE 13.0441-3401.2 (short# 250044)

This is the caliper where the piston has to be set at a certain angle when it's installed, there's instructions with the kit.

Thats all that I have in my parts book as well. I would call somone like Rob at 2002 haus, paul at max. these guys would probably know off the top of their heads.
