Anyone heading to Monterey next month? (historics? CI?)

I'll be up there for the historics, and CI (among other things) in our e21 323i. Just posting here to see if any of you are going to be there? We'll be in the BMW corral at concorso italiano... Don't think that we will be at the BMW sponsored event at the historics, but we'll definately be there one day or another. Anyone else going to be in the area?

Cheers,

Jonas

I'm planning on attending Monterey in August. This will be my first time at the Concorso & the second time at the Historics.

Planning on taking the M3 to commemorate the 20th anniversary.

Still gotta find a place to stay....

Im definetly going..got some pics from last year's at http://photos.yahoo.com/nigetufnel

Had a blast-- we are trying to make a mid-california section SAE meeting out of it- that way we might get some discounts and attract more of us gear heads into going.

See ya there!

It's that time of year again already?! Woo hoo...!

I live in Monterey, so I never miss the spectacle that is the Historics. Although this year I'll be passing on the Concorso and just staying track side for the racing. I'll be a Turn 5 corral fixture....

If anyone needs help finding emergency lodging for the event, drop me a line. My floor is always open to 02ers...but it's not the Plaza hotel by any means but it is on Cannery Row.

Looking forward to another "Car-Mas"....(my Christmas)

For everyone attending, may i suggest the RM auction... It goes on for 2 nights and is only 30 bucks a person (a bargain that weekend...) Yeah, its alot, but then again, when compared to the ticket prices of of other events, its cheap! Plus the cars there are quite spectacular... Just a suggestion.

We'll all have to exchange info so we can hopefully meet up while there.

Can we have a link to this event for info? I always saw coverage on this event and would really like to attend. A caravan would be nice from SoCal on the 101 going through Santa Barbara, Steve I know you have my back!

thinking about it....check the link http://www.montereyhistoric.com/

I would be going, but tickets are $65 each this year. If my were to go, we'd be $260 down, and as much as I like going to the Historics, I don't think that's justifiable.

This may be an option for you. If you go the weekend before the historics (Monterey Pre-Historics, if you will) I hear it is free and the access is wide open. Maybe call Laguna Seca and ask if this is the case?
